AstraZeneca, Macclesfield Round Table and Cheshire Building Society donated hockey shirts, sweatshirts and training jackets in order that the squad will look smart while on Tour. In addition, SLF Group provided a plentiful supply of energy foods and drinks courtesy of SKB, Britvic and KP for use during training and matches. The Club has also received generous support from Pickup Bellows, Connexions, The Bollington Group, Kay-Metzeler. The Stormguard Group and Eurocamp.

Wendy Priest, Community Relations Officer for AstraZeneca, said "We believe it is important to stimulate young sporting talent which can also help benefit individuals' personal and social development." Kathy Cowell, Area manager for Cheshire Building Society, commented "The Society is pleased to support Macclesfield Hockey Club as part of its Community Support Programme. Helping the local community is an important part of being a mutual Building Society, something to which the Cheshire is firmly committed."

The Netherlands is one of the strongest hockey playing nations in the World and the players will receive coaching and play against strong Dutch club sides as well as participate in a Tournament for all touring UK teams. The Dutch provide excellent hospitality and this Tour, organised by TravelBound, provides an opportunity to mix socially in a sporting atmosphere with other junior players from The Netherlands and UK. Altogether 300 players from UK schools and clubs will be taking part.
