Lions carnival promises a fun day out

Loughborough Lions May Day Carnival, at Southfields Park on Monday 6 May, promises to be the best ever.

Loughborough Lions May Day Carnival, at Southfields Park on Monday 6 May, promises to be the best ever.

For over 20 years this has been a popular annual event in the Loughborough calendar, drawing large crowds and raising thousands of pounds for local charities and voluntary organisations. For the seventh year running, the day is being sponsored by Loughborough's second largest employer AstraZeneca R&D Charnwood which has again donated £2,000 to ensure the carnival is a great success.

Gill Hilsdon, of AstraZeneca, said: "Every year, the Lions May Day Carnival proves to be a most enjoyable outing for all the family and, at the same time, it does so much for local causes. We are very happy to support such a worthwhile event."
